Quick fixes For a More Youthful Appearance

Do you want to look younger, more refreshed without surgery? Some of today's most popular procedures are minimally evasive. Many patients are seeing improvements in an aging face by using treatments like Collagen or Botox. If you are not ready for surgery, but you are interested in a slight improvement, a quick fix may be what you need.

Some of the common areas of concern for women and men are, crow's feet, forehead lines, smile lines, lip lines, acne scars, marionette lines, thin lips and facial scars.

What causes Fine lines and wrinkles on the face? The wearing down of the natural collagen layer beneath your skin causes facial lines and wrinkles. Many external factors also cause aging, such as, the sun, smoking, facial muscle movement, pollution and the body's natural aging.

There are a few solutions to restoring a more youthful appearance. Fillers may be used to fill fine lines and scars. A common filler is collagen. It is injected into the lines, scars or lips to plump or smooth the area treated. These temporary implants are natural substances that are derived from either purified bovine collagen or human cadavers.

It is important to remember that collagen is not permanent. In time, the body metabolizes the collagen.

Another temporary treatment of facial lines is Botox. These injections take effect in 2-3 days, and may last between three to six months depending on the individual. Botox paralyzes the muscle and therefore can be used to erase wrinkling caused by muscle activity.

Botox is very popular with men and women between the ages of 30 to 65. Botox temporarily weakens the facial muscles that are used in causing wrinkles. Botox is injected into the forehead, frown lines, crow's feet, and some wrinkles around the mouth or nose in order to prevent wrinkling during animation. With time and repeated injections, the skin may look more refreshed and youthful without the age lines.

People love their new younger look after using botox and collagen.
