My
breast surgery diary - Breast
augmentation and lift continued
May
6 2006 woke up sore ,but the new breasts look good.
It is the weekend so I will go out to dinner with my friends,
I ask them if they want to see the breasts. Now I am so proud
to show people. My girlfriends are very supportive and think
I look great. I didn't stay out too late as I am still healing.
I went home early tired
May 7, 2006 woke up feeling good
a little tight, stayed home and relaxed
May 8, 2006 woke up feeling good.
A little you know tight in the breasts, but I felt good enough
to go to work today. I am not suppose to do too much heavy
lifting or physical activity, but I work at a desk and mostly
in front of a computer so I will be fine.
May 9, 2006 woke up with the
breasts feeling tight and some shooting pains in my one breast,
more on the left then the right. I spoke to Dr. Corbin's office
and these are signs of normal healing and expect them for
a while. They told me that if I was really concerned I could
come in to be examined any time. I didn't do too much today,
went to work then went home ate, watched TV and took it easy.
May 10, 2006 woke up feeling
tight in my breasts and I still occasionally get shooting
pains. Today it's a little worse especially nipple area. I
am trying not to do much except relax and let my body heal
itself. I took it easy. I called Dr. Corbin's office again
and was reassured its normal. I was told about this post op
recovery symptoms ahead of time but I was just checking to
be sure. It has been really nice to know that whenever I call
my surgeons office they are always there for me. Each day
it is getting easier and I am not so tired at work today.
May 11, 2006 woke up sore nipples
it felt like someone put sand in my bra. I called and spoke
to DR's office. They reassured me this was a normal part of
healing. The nerve endings are coming back together, but my
breast look great better and better everyday.
May 12, 2006 same discomfort.
I have sore nipples so I used ice packs around the breasts
and that felt better.
May 13, 2006 sore nipples. I
used ice and wrapped my breasts for extra support with an
ace wrap. It's the weekend and I felt good so I went to the
mall with my friend. Afterwards I went home early and took
it easy.
May 14, 2006 mother's day felt
great went to my sisters house for barbecue felt good all
the discomfort is going away. Everyone wanted to see how I
looked so I showed my sisters. They can't believe how good
my breasts look so soon after my surgery. Now my niece wants
to see Dr. Corbin for her breasts and a tummy tuck. Go for
it girl!!
May 15, 2006 woke up with small
shooting pain in the nipple area for a few seconds so I am
taking it easy at work today. No heavy lifting or overdoing
it.
May 16, 2006 woke up feeling
good something coming from under my left nipple went to Dr.
Corbin's office. He said I was spitting a stitch on both lower
nipples, he said I was healing great. And even if I do say
so myself my breast look amazing. The swelling is going down
a lot and the breasts are dropping and feel so soft. I tried
on all my tank tops and dresses that are spaghetti straps
and its like I got a whole new wardrobe.
May 17, 2006 woke up feeling
good my breast are awesome you can barely see a scar, they
look so natural, I love them, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I am so happy.
May 18, 2006 woke up feeling
good I will be going away for the weekend with a special person,
I wont be self conscious about my breast anymore they look
beautiful 1000% better. It's three weeks since my surgery
and I'm ready to show them off.
November 29, 2006 I can't believe
it has been 6 months since my breast surgery. I am so glad
I finally did something positive for myself and my body image.
My life has always been about my son, my family, my friends,
and work. It feels great to love the way my breasts look.
It has empowered me as a woman. I feel proud of the way I
look for a woman in her 40's. The only thing I would do differently
is I would have had this surgery years ago. Today my breasts
look beautiful and the scars healed and are barely noticeable.
Dr. Corbin is an amazing plastic surgeon with a gift. His
expertise has forever changed my life for the better.
